Compatible Browsers

Noko is fully compatible with Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge. Noko is also really awesome on your iPad.

On smartphones like iPhone and Android, we provide a special version of Noko that allows quick input of time and using timers on the go. This version is automatically loaded—you can also always switch to the "desktop" version of Noko, by tapping on the "desktop version" link in the settings panel. For iPhone, we also have a native app that you can install from the App Store.

Noko will not work on older Internet Explorer versions, as these are older browsers which don't support many of the features necessary for a modern web application like Noko. They are also notoriously slow, bug-ridden and plagued by security problems. Many major sites like Google and Facebook no longer support IE 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10, and Microsoft no longer supports Internet Explorer up to version 10. (Noko works great with Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge, the new browser in Windows 10!)

If you're on an older Windows version that does not support newer Internet Explorer versions, we strongly recommend that you use Google Chrome or Firefox as your main browser. Please note that Google has announced that they will no longer support Windows XP and Windows Vista by April 2016.

In order to ensure the security of your data and comply to the Credit Card industry's security standard (PCI DSS), your browser must support modern encryption protocols (TLSv1.1 or TLSv1.2).

Some older browsers, like Internet Explorer on Windows 7, Safari on Mac OS X 10.8 or earlier and the stock browser on older Android phones (Android version 4.3 or lower) do not support these newer protocols at all. On these browsers, you will see a message like "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" or something similar and Noko will not load. You will need to use a different browser (like Chrome or Firefox) to access Noko.

Noko is not officially supported to work on pre-release, nightly, development or beta versions of browsers. Use the latest "release" or "stable" version instead.
